Welcome to By Emma Shay! Ever since I was little, I’ve always been driven to create a welcoming and cozy space. I've always been a homebody. Whether I was rearranging my childhood bedroom or baking cookies with friends, you could tell I thrived at home.

My husband and I bought our first home in 2020, and in 2021, I started sharing about our humble 876 square foot bungalow and all of the DIY and design projects we tackled on Instagram. After much encouragement from my husband, family, and pretty much anybody who stepped foot in my house, I decided to start my own interior design business to help others love where they live!

I'm here to give you the tools, advice, and inspiration you need to create a beautiful home through simple DIYs and intentional decorating.

When I’m not designing or sharing our home online, I love gardening and spending time outside with my husband, Zack, and our mutt, Charlie through all of Michigan’s beautiful seasons!
